The Sammies have garnered critical acclaim from all over the world, and it’s justified. 2 of their songs, “Postman” and “Trainwreck” are featured in the new Dane Cook / Jessica Simpson movie “Employee of the Month.” Additionally, The Sammies will have “Coming Out Wild” on the soundtrack for this movie. In one of the most read indie-rock blogs about SXSW on the web, Matt Dentler from Indie Wire said about The Sammies debut record -- “I can’t recall a better debut rock record to come our way in 2006. The Sammies are fresh off their recent tour with San Francisco buzz band Birdmonster and will be playing the MoRisen Records CMJ Showcase on Thursday, November 2nd in New York. This event follows with another West Coast performance at the Pomona Colleges in Southern California on November 10th, where The Sammies are headlined on the Teton Gravity Research nationwide tour, promoting Teton’s new movie titled Anomaly.
